Who is responsible for keeping passengers updated if pilots are not on plane?
I was on a flight out of IAH today. Due to weather, we boarded the plane just a little late but the pilots never showed up. I was in F. The gate agent supervisor told the FAs he would go check what flight the pilots were on but never came back!
The FAs basically looked at the United app and updated us as the app updated. 45 minutes past departure time, we were told to deplane.
That makes me wonder. Process-wise, whose responsibility is it to keep the passengers updated when the pilots are not onboard?
