My ex partner and I were at the end of a 2 month odyssey of driving across the USA..we were heading back to Australia and stopped over in Honolulu for a few days.

While we were soaking up the sun at the beach some a***holes broke into our hotel room and stole everything..except for my 29 fridge magnets . They stole money, tickets, passports, souvenirs the works and we were due to fly out the next day. Qantas wanted fifty dollars to re-issue our tickets, however since everything was stolen we had no way of paying them a cent.

A very nice Canadian woman that we had met just two days prior came to our aid and gave us the money for our tickets. We re-paid her by putting her up for a few weeks when she came to Sydney and a great friendship was forged.
