Interesting "first" post....

Unfortunately LHR-JFK is one of the heaviest traffic routes and the chances are very slim (no pun intended) of an empty seat next to her being available so dont count on it that.

She should defintely, 100% pay for two seats and make sure the airline knows in advance why she needs two seats.
