The only no-so-bad news is that all 8 first class seats are

reassigned me to 1B.
Since I'm pretty tall, am I better off staying in 1B or
change to one of the other 7 available first class seats?
Or should I call UA to reject the first class seat and ask
to be moved back to 7C in E+?
Why would you be "horrified"? The seats on the 319 are no worse than any of UA's other domestic narrowbodies. I certainly prefer the aircraft to the new 739s, with their rock hard seats, lesser pitch, and tiny lavs.
Avoid 1E/F. Otherwise it's the usual choice between bulkhead and non bulkhead. Depends on your personal preference.
