I'm flying SFO-FRA-HAM tomorrow and a colleague is applying a GPU to my ticket. The process is...complicated. Everyone involved is great, but it's involved one long on-hold for him, and a followup this afternoon, still not necessarily happening.

LH455 and LH20. Originally ticketed as UA with codeshare UA numbers on LH metal. Had to be converted to LH numbers to do the upgrade.

Worst case, I'll be in upper deck economy (which should be novel, at least, and it's a pretty empty flight). Kind of surprised to learn how narrow LH and UA international C/J seats are.

(Coming back on Germanwings, Swiss, and United flights on the 4th...Berlin to Hamburg on a 1am bus, HAM-ZRH, ZRH-LHR, LHR-SFO...also should be fun. Odds of a GPU clearing on that are far lower. Unclear if it's worth 20k miles + $455 on the LHR-SFO leg alone.)
