A travellers tale

I have just finished an 11 day around Europe trip involving 18 flights. As I live in the UK, I normally finish off by flying from Amsterdam to my home airport in Glasgow or Edinburgh, depending on availability.

However as many of you will know this kind of travel is a real auto-pilot jobbie and the old body gets right out of sync in more ways than one.

Waking up in a morning often involves asking yourself what country am I in ?

I digress.

On my way home my flight was cancelled from Amsterdam and they offered to fly me to London. As it was a morning flight I did not mind and was looking forward to the train ride up the East coast of England.

I duly arrived into Heathrow and headed over to Kings Cross station. I had nearly an hour before my train and realised I had not managed to visit the bathroom in the last couple of days with all the running around I had been doing.

I grapped a newspaper and managed to find a nice quiet cubicle in the mens section.

I knew that its important to make sure you take time for such things so I settled in and began to read.

After about 10 minutes nothig had happened, but I was not too worried.

Another five minutes went by and then I heard a person running into the toilet area and slamming the cubicle door next to me.

The noise and comotion left nothing to the imagination and I said to the man " God I wish that was me"

He replied, "I bet you dont as I never managed to get my trousers down "
