You get screwed though on business fares. say the flight is 5,000 miles, you get 1000 MQDs.
On consolidator tickets the fare shows up on the ticket as BT or IT. The tax amount is the only thing that shows a number.
My understanding is the fare is masked because (typically) they are sold as per of a package and the consolidator does not want the breakdown shown as you paid X$ for the trip. Not A for the flight, B for the hotel, C for the tour.
Priceline tickets are different as I believe they have a set rate they've paid the airline and the. Sell the tickets for whatever they can get. (Not positive on this though)
