Applying for a lot of credit cards or loans may be considered unusual activity.

If I remember reading correctly, several of the 9/11 hijackers had half a dozen credit cards each and Mohammed Atta applied for bank loans for small business purporses.

If the banking profiles of the 9/11 hijackers are used we are going to have a heck of a lot of false positives.
