The airport has some nice shopping. You can take a cab to Freising which is nice, but no real mall.

But just take the train downtown, its not too far and 7 hours is a lot. Get off at Marienplatz, then walk all the way to Hauptbahnhof. If you have more time, head with U-Bahn to "Muenchner Freiheit"
