Dinner

Our return after a week in Sint Maarten:

-no PDB. Assumed it was because they wanted to get up and going quickly, but the load was extremely light and we ended up sitting around waiting for baggage to finish loading. Think I've seen it mentioned before that some Caribbean destinations don't get alcoholic PDB, but even if true wouldn't preclude water/OJ, etc.

-linens, for those who care about that.

-bar service/warm nuts

-appetizer of olive/mozzarella/tomato skewers, with artichoke, radicchio, and (I believe) endive. Simple, tasty, although the greens were bitter with no dressing and my husband was disappointed in a salad appetizer.

-wedge salad tasted great, came with ranch dressing, fair amount of bacon and blue cheese crumbles. ***This is a really challenging salad to eat on tray tables that don't rest on the opposing arm rest. I had to use my knee to keep the table steady while cutting the salad.

-beef filet and lobster mac/cheese. Pasta was just fine! The smallest piece of beef I've ever gotten on a plane, but it actually tasted great and wasn't fatty! Came with some sort of pesto sauce and I think a slice of lime. Was flavorful, but left a bit of liquid in the bottom of the dish.

-pretzel bread of mini-baguette (had plenty of baguettes on the island!)

-desert was a lemon chiffon pie. ***Missed the pic, but was also very tiny piece.

Service was good until after dinner...then had to hunt down the FA for after-dinner drinks. Overall pleased with the meal...big step up in what I personally have had this past year, for the most part.
