Was on (sort of) the ZRH - IAD return.

Slide was deployed accidentally by FA.

It was not replaced. Flew back to IAD with door inoperable.

Captain decided for safety reasons that rows 1 to 4 in BF cabin would be unoccupied.

That made for some interesting downgrade scenarios. It was a cluster in the boarding process as all of the people in BF were allowed to board and when we got on the plane looked like a crime scene with police tape sectioning off the cabin.

I counted 10 persons that were downgraded or rerouted my self included. The Swiss agents followed the rules - Upgrades first (by status and fare), then Award tickets. They got all upgrades downgraded and 2 Award tickets.

The plane was late leaving not from the slide deployment -- but the chaos in getting people either rebooked or downgraded. Most took the down grade,

I was heading to MCO -- so they put me on Swiss in Business thru ORD.
Others were sent to FRA for the late afternoon FRA-IAD also in BF.

Swiss agents did a good job in managing the chaos and was surprised that they booked me in Business on Swiss.
