Any recommendations between the Renn or Marriott? Also, is there a way to make a reservation in local currency? The Hyatt prices in CLP and a suite there is cheaper than the RC, Renn, or Marriott. And ... I'm assuming I shouldn't expect anything from being a PP at the Ritz.
The Marriott. As a platinum, you are highly likely to be upgraded to a suite, especially if you email to ask in advance. They have 40+ suites.

If you pay in CLP, you're responsible for VAT. If you pay in dollars, you are not. If you want to pay in CLP, you can ask at checkout.

The Ritz is next to a subway stop and is in a good location to walk to different parts of the city. The Marriott is a little farther out (~.75 miles), but it's next to a great park and adjacent to an upscale shopping mall. It's maybe a 10 minute walk through the park to the subway.
