I am going to be in Angkor Wat the weekend of March 21-23. Airfare, hotel etc. are all set.

Question now is whether I should book a tour for the 2 1/2 days I am there. If so, with who?

Or, is it possible to do Angkor Wat by oneself? Recommendations for particular ruins not to be missed?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

It really depends on how comfortable you are travelling alone. If you have a Lonely Planet, that pretty much tells you all the sights you need to know. Renting a "tu-tu" costs about US$20-25 a day.

There's this place where you need to climb to catch the sunset. I can't remember the place, but it was awesome.

Remember to bring passport photos (visa) and small US$ notes.
