Timer Added to Marriott.com Book Now Page
Tried searching and did not see this posted, apologies if I missed it.
Just noticed today when booking on Marriott.com that the Book Now page (Reservation Step 1 of 3) now has a timer, which is initially highlighted in yellow, in the upper right hand corner that says Room(s) Held For: and counts down from 15:00 minutes. At the 10:00 minute mark, the highlight changes to red. At 5:00 minutes, the red highlight becomes larger and bolder. When the timer runs out, it stays at 0:00. If you click on the Book Now icon, you get taken back to the rate page for the hotel you were viewing and receive a message,"Session Timeout Welcome Back While you were away, our rates may have changed. Please click the button below to rebuild your reservation and re-select a rate." Clicking "continue," allows you to select a rate and the process starts all over again.
Why do I get the feeling Marriott.com hired some programmers from ticketmaster?
