You won't have any problems.

The thread you read about getting kicked out was because they were causing issues for the crew and other pax. Don't cause issues for the crew and other pax and you're fine.

Also, they got kicked out because of their behaviour - being a kid is sort of irrelevant in what happened. If an adult was doing the same thing as the kid was chances are it would have been dealt with similarly.
