In all the flights I've been on in pods with infants/toddlers around me (probably 200+ flights) I have never once seen this happen, even in the most extreme cases of eardrum busting screaming. I have never even witnessed another passenger complain.

That said, I've seen parents really struggle with the pod configuration. On one flight, with considerable turbulence for over an hour, nobody, including flight attendants could leave their seats. It was absolutely impossible for the parents to tend to their child in its own pod.
