LAX-MIA is an exception route and gets full meal service even on redeyes. And it gets amenity gets, but half the time they are never handed out, just like PDBs.
I don't take amenity kits anymore, as a rule, but I had a weird one yesterday morning. Amenity kit on a transcon A321 positioning flight SFO-LAX, tho' no transcon breakfast
OTOH, no kits handed out on LAX-MIA even if on a 767-300 ... go figure. The shrimp quesadilla was properly reheated and very tasty, albeit very heavy, too.
