I board last at a jet bridge, no point fighting the masses to do priority boarding and then sit an extra 10 minutes to watch them pass you.
At a bus gate I 'board' last to be the last in the bus. That way I don't have to stand in the open or on the ladder in the chilly wind/rain/snow.
