Introduction ***** six stars.   I recently returned from a 5 night visit and I have to say the St. Regis Punta Mita is a true luxury resort on par with the best luxury resorts in the world.   If I owned the resort and had to set up a test it would be me.     Me.... an American who is irritated because some guy near me is smoking a cigar on the beach while I try and relax on a lounge chair near the Mita Mary boat (where fantastic food and drink is served on the beach) and his smoke drifts my way.    I was livid and mentioned this to the St Regis beach attendant who somehow got this man and his girl friend to move away with a smile.   The St Regis Punta Mita beach attendant employee did this with such finesse that not only did he make me happy I apologized to him how upset I became and the couple he moved were happy to move on.  I think the beach attendant arranged free drinks for the Cigar smoker or something of the sort.  I am not sure all I know is the Cigar smoker was gone.   I should have the name of this beach attendant employee so he gets credit.   The St. Regis Punta Mita was so perfect I was looking for things that were not perfect.   The  only thing I could find was a empty water bottle stuck under a drain grate for three days on a pedestrian walk way.   One day when I was alone and an employee was sweeping nearby I picked up the grate so he could retrieve the bottle and I moved on with a smile.   Again the employees at St. Regis Punta Mita resort work so very hard and all have a smile.    The only think I did not like was the food at Calonia which is the high end restaurant.  But I believe I have no taste for fine food (haha) as everone else in my party thought the food was fantastic.    And the staff once again were perfect.
