compared to Flights on BA business class to India, leaves much to be desired and lets not even talk about ME3!!
Uncomfortable? Sure, not on the same level as most other airlines? It varies a lot.
but I will take a slippery slope A330 with the excellent KL service over BA J any day of the week, personally I can't stand BA, both service and food is just unacceptable, the number of J seats is huge which takes away the feeling of a premium cabin, and while the seats are indeed fully flat they are as narrow as a Y seat and unless you scored a window seat you will be completely exposed to the aisle, the pillow and blanket is as thin as paper. BA J is a glorified Y+ cabin at best, and let's not forget that connecting at LHR is just horrible.

On an optimistic note, KL just completed installing all 744, 74M, 772 fleets with the new fully flat J cabin, they will soon begin converting the 773 (only 8 birds remaining for the conversion), the A332/A333 will slowly leave the fleet once the 788 birds will enter service leaving the KL fleet with an excellent J product across the board.

technical issues are unfortunate indeed, but they can happen with all carriers, personally whenever it happened KL were able to provide me with an acceptable resolution/compensation.
