You're welcome to your own opinion, but let's at least be factually accurate with the information you base it on.

Average age of BA's 747 fleet: 19.9 years.
Average age of AA's 777 fleet(including 77W): 11.5 years.

So, which one here is "truly ancient"?

The general sentiment is that F on the 77W is superior to just about anything BA is offering, save maybe the A380. Perhaps it might be preferable to connect through LAX?
