They are keeping physical cards for Elite (FB Silver) and Elite Plus (FB Gold, FB Platinum) members.
The only cards being abolished are the status-less Ivories. Now that FB Ivories have to pay the same for luggage on KL as any non-member, the only purpose served by the Ivory card is to show the membership number. But this can be verified without needing a card.
