As was mentioned, the issue will be recognition. What you want to look up is Hague Apostille procedures. That's the stamp that makes the document legal in your home country.

In the US at least, you will need to look up the department of state of the individual state that issues the license. (e.g. Nevada Department of State for a Las Vegas wedding)
