Yup. I've been a Front Desk Supervisor, Night Manager, and Revenue Manager. Then, I worked at the Central Reservations office for Disney World.
The franchise business model has strengths and weaknesses. It also can be confusing from the outsider perspective. For example: People are sometimes surprised to find that a single owner can operate multiple hotels under competing brands.
One of the other things that trips people up is understanding that the frequent guest programs are not equivalent to the corporate office.
