I agree with this... Muscat would be good for a day, but is it worth spending F prices for 45 minutes each way?
And I'd always be worried that a disruption of some sort would mean that I'd miss the HKG flight - with no comeback if they are booked on separate tickets.
Maybe try a new top-class restaurant in Dubai and save the F class money
