I would have to guess that none of the airport counter baggage scales are calibrated. As such, is this an argument we can successfully use when the ever so helpful ticketing agent tries to ding us for the extra $$?
ticketing agent: I am sorry (gleefully smiling), but I am going to have to charge you $50 because your bag is a few grams over the allowed weight limit.
Enlightened FTr: I am sorry (gleefully smiling), but I do not see the county calibration sticker on your scale. Per Section 12345 of some Mind Numbingly Complicated book, you are not allowed to charge me anything unless you use a calibrated scale.
ticketing agent: Huh?
Enlightened FTr: Duh?
