LittleSheep - sorry you had a bad experience. For International flights, I second Cesco.g's comment that the Hindu Vegetarian meals are consistently spicy and tasty. I haven't requested the "regular" vegetarian meal for years so not even sure what it might include, but it sounds as if you did not enjoy what you were offered. Next time I urge you to try one of the other options.

My big beef (no pun intended ) with United is the inability to special order meals on Domestic flights in F or BF. It seems to me in the 21st century that they should board a veggie option on every flight, every meal as many may choose a veggie option for health reasons if it is attractive and interesting - salads, pastas, roast vegetables, etc. would probably be big hits. How many times have FA's had to apologize on a domestic F flight that they don't/can't have a veggie option when the passenger doesn't have the option to pre-order. And in those situations, the FA can't offer a BOB meal or snack box from the back to a F passenger ?!?

Enough rant. to the OP, suggest you try some of the other options that are available on international flights.
