So... haven't had to worry about eUps in a long time. I don't know how but I have 40 in my account and I am P25K, I thought I had no status this year. I'm looking at using these, and need someone to correct me where I have gone wrong:
1. Considering flying YYZ to DXB and AC's eUp tool tells me that Latitude and PE Flex can request "at any time" for P25K.
2. Expert Flyer is telling me on my days of travel R space is 4 on the outbound and 9 on the return.
3. Looking at booking on aircanada.com, it's telling me I will be waitlisted.
Shouldn't it be letting me take the eUp if there's R space?
Actually, I saw the same thing for PE O (Flex) on a TPAC route I was looking at. The same message "You will be waitlisted" also appeared if I selected Latitude. The dates are more than 6 weeks out, and cabins are wide open. An agent had this response: Air Canada is probably waiting to see how many more seats it can sell in J before it releases any to upgrades.
I found that comment amusing and insightful. Don't argue with me over whether the agent was right or wrong. I'm only repeating the comment.
