That is definitely a good way to save some miles. When we went to Costa Rica a few years back, my kids and wife flew in Business, I flew in Coach. I would feel a little guilty if I left my kids alone in Coach, but I like the idea of the adults taking turns stretching their legs in the bigger seats.

Portugal sounds great! I've never had it on my radar but I'll do some research and see which airlines have good service there.
