Lúcuma is a fruit that tastes like butterscotch, and
chirimoya is a creamy tropical fruit flavor.) I've seen lucuma paste in Mexican grocery stores here (Chicago area), and chirimoyas show up in Asian markets occasionally, so maybe this summer I'll try to make some at home.
I did not have the ice cream but I had a juice blend at the market that had lucuma when we were in Santiago last month.
And speaking of ice cream, wow! So many good ice cream places. Emporio La Rosa- I had the dark chocolate, kids had Dulce de Leche and husband had strawberry, all excellent. Even better, we thought, was El Toldo Azul, on Isidora Goyenechea.
