Not a problem on UA. As you board make sure you give the pilots the AM station number you want (don't make them search) and ask for that channel to be broadcast instead of CH9. Last week they put the Clippers on CH9 for me and left CH9 on also so the Clippers were playing in the background and the CH9 freaks (hehe) got to listen to ATC at the sametime. If for some reason they can not get it, ask for a PA every quarter. They oblige almost 100% of the time.
