I'm looking for some help on booking a mileage run, I'd very much appreciate suggestions on the best way to go about selecting a slight that would meet the criteria below, if possible.

I need to fly 2,500 miles to re-qualify, I'd like to do this on Tuesday 12/22 out of BOS, ideally getting back in to BOS on the same day around 5:00pm... for as little cost as possible.

I've looked at BOS-DFW-BOS which is AA1001 leaving at 5:00am and returning on AA1094 after a three hour layover getting in at 4:28pm, that works in terms of miles and the cost isn't crazy (AA offered a buy-up for $1,200), just curious if there are tools that might help me find something better.

I doubt I can afford to do connections and still be back in BOS in the afternoon but would value any suggestions folks may have.
