I know its SOP but only within the same airline. I dont think Airline X requesting Airline Y to accomodate its passenger for being late is SOP. Plus CS even economy was way more expensive den Shenzhen . We had consciously booked Shenzhen for low cost. So obv it was sort of Airline Upgrade as well.
