A colleague tells me that from the Heathrow Express station to B28 (where AC823 usually flies from) is something like a 3.7km walk. I can quite believe it. There is a shuttle service for pax needing it thats supposed to operate through the tunnel to B but I've never seen where you pick it up upon arrival. I don't need it ordinarily but we'll be arriving as a family in August & my youngest has a physical disability. It's going to be a long walk for her from the gate & we'd ideally like to avoid having to pack a stroller with us for 3 weeks just for Heathrow!
Moving side walks from gate building to main terminal on arrival
Moving side walks from main terminal to gate building. ( but don't go to gate and expect to go back to main terminal all walking )
To get to Heathrow express once in main terminal, from Baggage pickup to train, good 10-15 mins, walk, elevator, some moving sidewalks. not terrible, but longish.
I'm old and cranking but it's not that bad
