As previously posted, I'm not a fan of the new T2 (or T5 for that matter). It's probably a slight improvement for the average traveller (longer walks, but overall nicer/better facilities), but T3 worked perfectly well for status customers: efficient line-skipping, reasonable lounge, reasonably short walks, ability to avoid the ridiculously overcrowded seating areas and the holding pens at the gate.
Don't you have that the wrong way round? The MLL is near the B gates - where AC flies from and is a looonnngggg walk from security/check-in but a shorter walk to the gate.
A colleague tells me that from the Heathrow Express station to B28 (where AC823 usually flies from) is something like a 3.7km walk. I can quite believe it. There is a shuttle service for pax needing it thats supposed to operate through the tunnel to B but I've never seen where you pick it up upon arrival. I don't need it ordinarily but we'll be arriving as a family in August & my youngest has a physical disability. It's going to be a long walk for her from the gate & we'd ideally like to avoid having to pack a stroller with us for 3 weeks just for Heathrow!
