Yes, but the concierge prefers cash!
As MrO describes above, we prefer booking our hotel arrivals with the concierge / hotel, even if it is at a premium. It does seem to make the arrival process smoother.
Events, restaurant reservations, activities I will interact directly with the concierge. For 'hard to get' items, the earlier the better I think...
