If the average person gets married at, say, 30, and expects to live to, say, 80 - - that's 50 years that you hafto remember which name is used for what, where, and on what documents, and such. In much of the world families can actually deal with spouses having different last names. Mind-blowing!

No idea why women still change their name in this day and age.
