For MMonster and Smandkjc and others who have had lounge access vouchers deducted: I think it happens automatically when you enter the lounge with an Airpoints number on your boarding pass. I have Star Alliance Gold on OZ, and so can enter the lounge on that. However, I had my Airpoints number on an NZ paper boarding pass and so they deducted a voucher automatically. I complained, and after having to point out to them that they are supposed to ask to see my Airpoints (silver) card before deducting, they reinstated the voucher. The only time I am likely to want to use a voucher is when I am travelling with wife and daughter so that all three of us can enter the lounge, but I still wasn't happy to have one taken without my knowledge or permission.
