Did quick search but only Thai comes as a option. Are there any other Star Alliance members flying this route?
As far as the route itself - want to spend couple of days in Auckland and the rest of the two weeks time - on South Island. Do I understand correctly that SIN-AKL-CHC with two days at Auckland on way in won't require extra miles?
Thanks
My advice is keep searching.............
We (party of 2) flew on Aeroplan reward (Y class) SIN-PER-AKL-WLG-DUD in May on SQ. Some segments were NZ, others SQ. NZ has a wonderful policy......allows same day standby so we were able to take the non stop AKL-DUD even though are itin had a WLG stopover. OZ visa was not required but we bought one anyway............its cheap and good for one year.
As for the route, don't waste your time in AKL (i.e. a couple of days is unnecessary.). Instead, plan your stopover in ZQN, DUD or CHC.
