50% of which is probably from Singaporeans who live in Johor Bahru and commute daily and the day-trippers and week-enders who spend a couple of days in Melaka and KL. Also , as someone mentioned, Air Asia passengers who need to enter into Malaysia and transit to another destination. This fact is reflected in the hotel scene. KL hasn't got a new hotel popping up every other month like Bangkok does.
And yes, having just returned from Penang a day ago, it's the street food capital of the world. Not fine dining, just street foods.
