I bought one of those flashlights and taken it with me on about six trips now and have never dared to use it. There are some things that I just don't want to know.
Speaking of towels. I stayed at a Days Inn near Korea Town in LA once and it was so thin that I could see through the towel when I held it up. We checked out after one sleepless night. Street noise and the beds were as bad as the towels.
