It is obvious why you must pick only one entree. However, am I assuming correctly that for the first course, you'll be offered everything in the "Starters" section (such as antipasto, salad, and soup)? And does that also go for the dessert, could you in theory say "ah, the fruit/cheese sounds good and the dessert sampler does too, I think I'll have both"?
Forgive the naive question, it will be my first time flying DL J in over three years (the first and only time was on a 76G with the BE recliners). I seem to recall the starters were all plated on the tray at once, which is why I assume they are all offered to each passenger. But for dessert, I remember being disappointed (because it was either fruit, or fruit/cheese) and I didn't care for most of the cheese. The ice cream sundae I had heard all about simply was not offered. Since the dessert cart is a new thing for me, I was just curious how it works. So when they wheel past you, can you just pick one of each dessert you want? Or is that considered crass? Oh, and when it says a "variety of sweet and savory snacks" is available, is that just a self-serve assortment in the galley, and is it similar to the domestic snack basket?
Basically just what
gooselee said. I seem to recall talking with you about J before and it was ex-ACC, it's a one-off place where ice cream isn't served. The 333's are great and if you haven't had full lie-flat before maybe you'll manage some sleep in these. I skipped dinner once and did all three desserts, no problem. Once asked for seconds of something after they were finishing up and no problem again. Never a problem with asking for multiples, but I rarely do that as I'm usually stuffed well before that point. Just out of curiosity where are you leaving from? ATL and JFK both have special menus and the Linton Hopkins menus ex-ATL have always been great IME. They just started the Marta menus in JFK, so no idea on that, but Blue Smoke was always good.
