Try Kinokuniya bookstore -- there are some in the L.A. and S.F. areas, as well as other places (I saw one in Rockefeller Plaza in NYC on my last trip, for example). That might help if it is in print.

One thing for sure: anything that is several years old is bound to have a great deal of information in it that is totally wrong. Some things in Japan can change VERY quickly!
