I am now debating whether it is cost effective for one of us to fly from our local airport in Manchester (luckily only 20 minutes away) to Heathrow and back in a day as the flight will depart from T5. Obviously I'd need to ring in advance to check they had what we wanted in stock.
I am planning to use my BAExec points and £35 to fly down - there is plenty of availability. The plus is that I can pay on UK credit cards (with no worries about exchange rates) and get bonus points which I can convert back into BA again. Just how much saving can I expect at T5?
Can't answer that but have you look at the difference in US/UK prices?
Even if they're no different, think about a trip to SFO, visit Tiffiny's in Union Square, do the trams, try the chowder, add some romance to the whole thing please!
Any congratulations on your engagement
