I was thinking First were clearly greasing some wheels somewhere with their percentage of the uk rail network (65% at one point)? But they lost their original franchise, of Scotrail, didn't they?

Then again the fully deutsche bahn owned Arriva seem to be making a lot of progress, worst trains I've been on in the uk....
