1. Maybe. Technically, probably not; but in actuality, there's a good chance.
2. It likely requires an agent.
3. I've never heard of that happening. You aren't going to give them a better rating for asking annoying questions. They might point out that it takes longer; but if you ask for the change by flight numbers, they're likely to assume you know what you're asking for. You could always have an excuse like "a friend who I haven't seen in months is connecting through ATL and this is a great chance to meet for a cup of coffee."
