I have read about others here being upgraded to club floors at hotels, but have never myself asked about this when checking in. What is a club floor, is it worth it? Do you have to be a frequent member to receive an upgrade? What does it cost?

I've searched on several hotel websites, and none of them really talk about this benefit, so I'd be glad to hear your advice!
