It's a lot easier if staying in T4, the two terminals are actually quite distance apart so you're saving yourself a lot of time. T4 is a very long terminal, so there can be a lot of walking, and some domestics - despite the size of the airport - still need a bus transfer at the gate! This is often at the opposite end of T4 to where the LHR services come in. BCN won't be a bus however and should not at the far end, it's more the Nostrum services.

Note the larger IB A330/A340 services operated via T4S.
