My suspicion is that at some point here, an agent has entered specific notes about what OP has been told in the PNR notes. It's unlikely that anyone will override that as AA tries to discourage what FT recommends, e.g. HUCA.
I do agree that OP should sit back for a while. There may be a ton of changes between now and then. I also understand that OP wants to avoid CLT, but maybe he ought to rethink that. If nothing changes and the PNR has been noted, it's gonna come down to that.
I'm sure you're right. I have made three calls. I don't doubt that the PNR has been noted. I don't intend to cancel.
My hope at this point is that they will restore the midday flight from JAX to ORD.
I did give in and ask for a midday flight connecting in CLT and there is only one award seat on the CLT ORD leg for the flight that would get us there on time.
So we are stuck.
