What does "barter" mean?

Seems pretty clear-cut to me. Where's the gray area? Trading is as much against the rules as selling. I'm sure if you engage in this activity among family or friends and keep the details out of the public eye, AS will probably never notice, so whether you're willing to take the risk or not is up to you.
